Our Programme Advisory division was created in 2018 and has since grown significantly in size and capability with a track record of delivering complex strategy, set-up and transformations for public and private sector clients to deliver major programmes both in the UK and internationally.


Our continued success is driving the expansion of our UK team in London and Bristol, and we are seeking to recruit talented people at various grades, who feel their experience and skills could support the commercial transformation of our clients' programmes and organisations.


This is an exciting opportunity to support our world-renowned clients in developing, implementing, and optimising commercial strategies on the largest major projects and programmes.

Job Description:

As part of our Programme Commercial Advisory team, focused on supporting clients in developing, implementing, and optimising commercial strategies, functional set-up, engagement approaches and programme commercial recovery, you will be expected to contribute across a number of areas, including:

  • Contribute to the assessment of a business challenge, the development of a 'optimal' commercial solution and implementation of that solution, including the ability to think strategically and translate strategy into delivery
  • Support development, implementation and optimisation of commercial strategies, functional setup, programme optimisation and programme commercial recovery
  • Understand and incorporate experience and lessons learned from other major projects and programmes, being able to link effectively to other departments within Turner & Townsend.
  • Understanding of industry context and initiatives, for example the Construction Playbook, Project 13 and IPA Routemap
  • Work within diverse and multidisciplinary teams representing Turner & Townsend at client sites, including the development of strong relationships with clients
  • Deploy established processes, tools, and systems, tailoring these to suit specific circumstances and contributing to their continuous improvement and development
  • Support the successful adoption and realisation of successful business outcomes
  • Support key activities within the Programme Advisory team including internal development of transformation products and approaches
  • Prepare, define, and lead on bid proposals, and work closely alongside Senior Management and the wider Turner & Townsend team.
  • Identify, contribute to and progressing business generation opportunities where appropriate

Qualifications:

Strong experience in one or more of the following: major project / programme commercial strategy, packaging strategy, procurement & supply-chain strategy, incentivisation, commercial performance management, efficiency strategies, contracts, major project / programme commercial delivery:


  • Post-graduate with industry experience and RICS membership (or equivalent commercial orientated qualification):
  • Excellent communication skills including active listening, presentation, and written communication
  • Confident in dealing with clients, with a proactive approach and an enquiring mindset
  • Able to work and thrive in multi stakeholder environments
  • Ability to understand and operate within largescale, complex environments and programmes
  • Experience in working with multiple forms of construction contracts would be advantageous

Experience in some or all of the following sectors: infrastructure major projects/programmes, defence, government services, highways, natural resources, railways, real estate, utilities, airports.
