Description

This is a entry position within our Operations Team providing an excellent opportunity to start a rewarding career in international logistics.

No experience is necessary as full training will be provided.


You will support the Logistics Planning function in sourcing, booking, scheduling and planning trucking resource across a specified area or region from approved hauliers, in budget, and with a principal focus on customer service.


Key Activities will include:


Health & Safety

Administration
Support the Truck and Tank Planners with order and equipment status management and updates:

  • Job Status Updates (ETA's / completion etc.)
  • Order Receipt
  • Depot Stock Lists
  • Documentation Management.

Planning Support

  • Support Truck and Tank Planners in the creation and sharing of supplier instructions for, but not limited to, trucking, tankcleaning and product heating. Identify and book, in a timely manner, loading and delivery slots.
  • Support Tank Planners with management of empty equipment repositioning

Communication

  • Liaise closely and positively with the Customer Service Teams regarding customer requirements, changes, challenges and delays.

Have a target of progression into a Logistics Planner role, through training, gaining experience, and a strong desire to learn and progress your career within the intermodal bulk liquid logistics sector.


Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge - Essential/Desirable**- Competent in the use of I.T. system, outlook, excel etc.

  • Good geographical knowledge

Experience

  • Previous roles in transport planning, cost management or within logistics industry
    Desirable

  • An ability to work well under pressure

  • Communicate with various departments to achieve common goals
