- Organising goods inwards and outwards site transport movements
- Operating mobile plant including shovel loaders, FLT's and skid steers. This includes daily checks, ensuring plant is safe, clean and maintained
- Loading/ unloading of vehicles
- Monitor quality of input and output materials
- Support plant operations and pellet production
- Carry out site housekeeping activities.
- Display 'be safe' attitude and behaviours.
- Attitude for compliance and ability to work as a team and on own initiative.
- Effective verbal communication.
- Attention to detail and able to assess issues and recommend solutions.
- Previous experience operating Mobile Plant (Biffa Training provided)
- Experience of working with a factory/ processing facility.

This role will be a 4 on 4 off shift pattern which includes day & nights.
Hourly rate: £14.09 (on shift).
A quick look at the role.
Responsible for operating Mobile Plant and supporting plant processing operations within a modern technology processing facility that turns waste into a sustainable fuel.
The required candidates will have experience operating mobile plant/ fixed plant, working within a manufacturing/ processing type environment.

Biffa Green Energy is part of our Resources & Energy division that aims to produce solid recovered fuel pellets from non-recyclable household waste. Pellets are used as a coal substitution in heavy industry offering carbon emission savings. This is a great opportunity to work in a growing sustainable industry.
