Customer Delivery Operative, full time, Great Barford, Bedfordshire

In this role you will:

  • Take pride in being responsible for ensuring customers receive the hire equipment they have ordered, or collected, on time and in a positive, friendly manner
  • Ensure we meet our target of 98% on time delivery
  • Resolve problems promptly, communicating with customers and colleagues as needed
  • Load and unload THX's hire equipment using appropriate lifting equipment and manual handling techniques
  • Follow safe working processes while driving and loading/unloading
  • Communicate with colleagues in other departments to ensure customer requirements are met
  • Operate THX's delivery IT system, updating the system data and taking pictures of equipment
  • Raise issues and opportunities to improve the THX operations
  • Identify sales opportunities while travelling and report these back to the sales team.

It is essential that you have:

  • Experience of providing excellent customer service
  • A valid, clean UK Driver's licence for manual vehicles
  • Experience of driving and delivering goods
  • Familiarity with IT and navigation systems.


Our shifts are from 5.30am to 4.00pm and 6.00am to 4.30pm, Monday to Friday, and sometimes overtime is required to meet customer needs.
