JOB PURPOSE:

The Nightshift Supervisor is to ensure the smooth running of the Stansted facilities.

Customer communication is given in a timely and professional manner and that maintenance inputs are correctly resourced and commercial targets achieved.


ACCOUNTABILITY:


  • To ensure the Stansted Facilities meet regulatory and company standards as set out within the company MOE.
  • All AOG/Line maintenance support requests are dealt with and communicated in a professional and timely manner.
  • Base maintenance inputs are correctly resourced and labour requirements meet planned loading and regulatory requirements

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:


  • Carrying out maintenance tasks as directed by the Licensed Engineer and ensuring all relevant paperwork is correctly filled in
  • Ensure prompt internal and external customer communications as the primary out of hours contact point.
  • Ensuring good housekeeping within the hangar environment and associated workshops.
  • Ensuring all activities are carried out in accordance with relevant company and Health and Safety procedures.
  • So far as quality is concerned, he / she is to ensure that all contract staff under his control are properly directed, have comprehensive work instructions, and adequately briefed on each activity and understand and work to the quality system as defined in part 3 (quality systems) of the company MOE.
  • The organisation and control of labour within his/her area of responsibility in conjunction with the licensed engineer.
  • The raising of workcards and requisitions as directed by the Licensed Engineer.
  • Constantly seek improvement in all activities to maximise productivity and minimise cost.
  • Communicating the progress of inputs/projects on a daily basis by written reports and daily meetings.
  • Any other duties as may be required by the Shift Supervisors, Head of Maintenance and/or deputy Head of Maintenance.
  • Any other duties as may from time to time be required.

AUTHORITIES:


  • Has disciplinary authority over the staff working within his/her area of responsibility
  • To request and provide assistance to the Head of Maintenance
  • To request assistance from other departments

QUALIFICATIONS PREREQUISITES:


  • Demonstrable experience in a similar role
  • Completed a recognised aircraft mechanic apprenticeship
  • Computer literate with experience in ERP software and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Full UK Driving Licence

  • Highly organised and able to prioritise work in a fastpaced environment.
  • Maintain strict company and customer confidentiality.
  • Attend and successfully pass all mandatory trainings & assessments according to the area of activity
