Junior Land Surveyor (Earthworks)

Salary:
up to £25K DOE

Location:
Remote (Sites throughout the UK, majority in the midlands)

We are hiring a Junior Land Surveyor to join an expanding contracting team with the bulk of work within earthworks, stabilisation and groundworks, delivering turn key solutions for numerous private and commercial customers, typically local authorities and maincontractors.

As a Junior Land Surveyor you will:

Travel to a variety of sites across the country to undertake surveys, collect data and set out works.
Take a proactive approach to processing survey data in line with departmental best practice
Produce maps and plans in support of a wide range of fast paced projects, on time and within budget to maintain company standard
Working in collaboration with the team, obtain, manage and analyse data from range of sources including the Land Registry, Ordnance Survey, Environment Agency, Local Authorities and Utility companies to best inform our advice and service to clients
Be responsible in the maintenance and calibration procedures of the survey equipment and organisational policies and requirements
Work under guidance, on projects and requests, ensuring requirements and objectives are met, building positive relationships and taking ownership of the standard of work
Great IT skills with good working knowledge of MS Excel and Word packages
Ability to manage a large amount of both quantitative and qualitative data
Be Comfortable meeting people onsite? colleagues, clients, landowners and other stakeholders
Have excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
Have a full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to site and project locations
Be confident to work autonomously and manage your own time effectively
