Principal Product Manager, Colocation Services and Power Pricing, EMEA Region

Our client is recruiting for a contract Colocation Product Manager, focused on pricing for power services. The contract is for an initial term of 6-9 months.

Highly volatile energy markets in Europe are impacting energy costs. As a result, the prices that we charge our customers and partners for power are also impacted.

This critical role will act as the interface between internal functions and EMEA customer-facingteams, to articulate and explain changes in our power pricing to our customers and partners.


The role entails:

  • Subject Matter Expert and primary contact for the EMEA region to support Sales, be the voice of Product Management and the Data Center Services (DCS) Business Unit in EMEA.
  • Create and deliver briefings, contribute content to FAQs and other GTM assets.
  • Product Management in the region working as part of the cross functional program team (Global Product Management, Global Marketing, Energy Procurement, Finance, Legal, Billing) to create / develop / execute gotomarket strategy and plans for customerfacingteams (Sales, Customer Success, Commercial Solutions, Billing).
  • Serves as the primary product expert within the EMEA region in support of power pricing activities
  • Serves as the voice of the region (customers, partners, market) back into the Data Center Services BU / Global Product Management plus Global Product and Solutions Marketing organizations.

Responsibilities:


  • Act as the EMEA regional expert on the energy market and competitive landscape.
  • Works with key stakeholders in the Power Pricing Global Program team and the EMEA region to position and articulate the strategy and tactics for power pricing. Ensure smooth handover from global program team to EMEA regional / country Sales, Marketing,Commercial and Sales Support teams.
  • Developing or contributing to value propositions and marketing collateral. Create briefing content, presentations, and sales tools to support power pricing activities, to retain customers and to facilitate selling of Colocation services.
  • Support regional customer meetings, public speaking opportunities, partner forums as product SMEs
  • Work with EMEA region Sales and Marketing management to develop and drive sales and partner enablement
  • Market sensing participate in regional forums, provide actionable insight as needed to drive positive change in the business performance of our products in region.
  • Stakeholder management. Effectively maintains and utilizes relationships with key stakeholders throughout the company and ensures alignment in crossfunctional priorities
Experience and Skills

  • Business / Technology degree or equivalent qualifications.
  • Demonstrable Product Management or Product Marketing experience gained from Data Center / IT / Telco MNC's.
  • Experience, expertise and understanding of Colocation services and energy markets.
  • Ability to analyse complex business issues, identify, design & implement effective practical recommendations.
  • Deep customerfacing and marketfacing experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills. Proven ability to build strong working relationships with Marketing peers, Sales leadership, and Country Managers to be the voice of the region in regional product management activities
  • Excellent presentation skills and communications skills, both verbal and written
  • Sets high personal standards and is goal oriented
  • Able to operate in a performance driven organization
  • Culturally aware and adept at working across multiple geographies
  • Leadership of highly visible programs and provides thought leadership
  • Strong business awareness and marketing acumen
  • Good analytical, problem solving and planning skills
  • Willingness to travel in the EMEA Region
