    Job Description

    We are currently looking for a Manufacturing / Industrialisation Engineer to join our Rail Team responsible for defining how the final assembly of the carriages is undertaken and introducing new projects for manufacture.

    Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

  • Project management of project industrialisation utilising functional resources of Manufacturing Engineering department and wider business functions.
  • Chairing project manufacturing and validation forums and close out actions.
  • Reporting KPIs of project goals.
  • Working in a multidisciplinary team to deliver the business goals.
  • Sequence of assembly analysis and setting the manufacturing assembly goals.
  • Technical understanding of assemblies and central point for escalating production issues.
  • Use of Catia and 3DX to interrogate and analyse 3D models.
  • Use of 3D Experience to follow the engineering change process from creation to change action and implementation.
  • Time studies and analysis to ensure assembly goals are achieved.
  • Controlling the sequence of assembly and continually improve to achieve high efficiency.
  • Ensuring the delivery of all aspects of manufacturing strategy are delivered in full on time.
  • Cost analysis management of the project hours and investigating discrepancies.
  • Rapid purchasing of materials related to modifications.
  • Managing the transition of the project to the closeout phase and ensuring materials etc are controlled and resource is provided for closure.
  • Wrap-up the project ensuring any outstanding issues are closed.
  • Qualifications

    Essential:

  • Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or closely-related engineering subject
  • Ability to communicate in both English and Spanish, at a professional level
  • New product/project introduction experience
  • Leading multidisciplinary teams
  • Project management experience
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexibly across a broad range of activities, as the role evolves
  • Ability to respond and adapt to changing circumstances in a fast-paced pressured environment
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team
  • Excellent IT skills including experience of Microsoft packages
  • Ability to travel between UK and Spain, depending on the requirement.

  • 12-month fixed-term contract
