    EXPERT WITNESS (CYBER)

    ON-GOING CONTRACT

    OUTSIDE IR35 - £80 PER HOUR

    We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Expert Cyber Witness to assist in a class action lawsuit. The ideal candidate will have an in-depth understanding of cybersecurity, digital forensics, network security, and legal processes related to cybercrime. The Expert Cyber Witness will work closely with legal teams to provide expert opinions, technical analyses, and witness testimony as needed.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Expert Testimony: Provide expert testimony, explaining complex technical concepts to a legal audience.
    • Technical Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of digital evidence, cybersecurity incidents, data breaches, and other related topics.
    • Consultation with Legal Teams: Collaborate with attorneys and legal teams to develop case strategies and provide insights into cybersecurity issues.
    • Forensic Investigations: Perform digital forensic investigations to uncover evidence, data patterns, and other information relevant to the case.
    • Preparation of Reports: Prepare detailed reports outlining technical analyses and findings for legal teams, courts, and other stakeholders.
    • Compliance and Regulations: Ensure that all work complies with relevant legal and regulatory requirements.

    Required Qualifications

    • Education: A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Digital Forensics, or a related field.
    • Experience: Experience in cybersecurity, digital forensics, or a similar role. Previous experience as an expert witness in legal cases is highly desirable.
    • Certifications: Relevant industry certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), or Certified Computer Examiner (CCE).
    • Legal Knowledge: Familiarity with legal processes, rules of evidence, and courtroom procedures.

    Skills and Competencies

    • Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of cybersecurity principles, digital forensics methodologies, and network security.
    • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience.

    • Attention to Detail: Ability to meticulously analyze evidence and ensure accuracy in all reports and testimonies.
