Overview of the role

My client is looking for an experienced Account Director with extensive knowledge in digital marketing. As an accomplished AD you will bring innovative ideas to the team and build strong client relationships.

This is a new role, joining the Health & Pharmateam to help manage the many projects and exciting opportunities they have on the go at the moment.

What you will be doing:

  • Drive business growth through existing clients, developing a proactive action plan for your accounts in order to meet client retention and budget target
  • Specifically identify, propose, upsell and implement new projects and campaigns in order to meet and exceed each customer's ROI and service expectations and to maximise revenue and profit for the client
  • Run meetings and workshops (e.g. kick off meetings, project & results meetings)
  • Produce and monitor accurate and clear forecasting on a regular basis
  • Identify scope creep when clients ask for more than is agreed on and suggest a solution (upsell or agile adjustment)
  • Solve client problems
  • Monitor your own billing
  • Presentation creation and digital delivery to clients. Explain to them why we took the approach we did and why they should think it's wonderful
  • Join pitch teams when pitching for new business

This role can be based anywhere in the UK. They encourage you to work where you feel most effective. That may be at home, from one of their office hubs or a mix of both. Some travel to client sites may also be expected for this role. This would be for ceremoniessuch as kick-off meetings, rather than on a regular basis.


What experience you will need:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a senior account management or account director role gained within the digital and wider marketing sector
  • Experience of complex design and build projects with budgets greater than £50k or campaign budgets of £250k +
  • Experience developing social media strategies and managing brand campaigns across multiple platforms, e.g. Linkedin, Twitter, Facebook & Instagram (with a media team)
  • Confident with senior clients, running workshops and discussing commercial and digital strategy be looked upon by our clients as the expert in digital
  • Specific experience of significantly optimising website or campaign results by devising and implementing innovative strategies and ideas
  • Project management
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills and ability to deliver clear concise ideas to internal and external stakeholders
  • Have an analytical and inquisitive mind

Technical knowledge:

  • You'll need to be proficient with Google Analytics and confident in your ability to learn how to use other reporting platforms.
  • A deep understanding of the Social Media landscape and how each platform or channel can be best used to meet our clients goals.
  • Draw insights from data and spot opportunities for improvement in websites and campaigns
  • Have a keen interest in technologies and digital marketing techniques
