Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our client's team as an Operations Officer.

The role is based in the Operations Department covering the processing, confirmation and settlement of treasury, GBP clearing and treasury transactions undertaken by the Bank.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Take ownership of processing daily trades and completing each transaction accurately and efficiently in accordance with each product and the department's operational procedures;
  • Recognise and manage operational risks involved with each type of transaction;
  • Treasury products processing and settlement mainly (interbank) loan/deposit, Foreign Exchange / FX Swap, Bond settlement, Repo / Reverse Repo, Interest & Crosscurrency swaps;
  • Correspondent banking/GBP clearing process payments in an accurate and timely manner;
  • Backup for tasks such as loan administration for syndicated and bilateral loans, trade finance transaction, etc;
  • General Account Management populate the core banking system with new account and/or customer data; process incoming thirdparty payments and populate the core banking system with remittance data to facilitate the creation of SWIFT payment messages;
  • Backoffice reporting manage reports for departmental and management information;
  • Cross training with other staff on GBP Clearing, Treasury procedures and processing, etc;
  • Contribute to the draft/review of team policies, procedures and risk matrix as required;
  • Other ad hoc works as and when assigned by your manager.

Requirements:


  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in banking operations, e.g. Payments, Settlement, Trade Finance and Treasury Operations.
  • SWIFT handling experience (MT103 / 202 or Pacs 008/009/054) is essential additional experience preferred, e.g. MT300/ 320/ 541/ 543/700/707/799/ etc.
  • Understand and be familiar with UCP600, URDG, ISBP etc.
  • Intermediate/Advanced Microsoft Office and Microsoft Excel user.
  • Excellent communication skills, proficient in both English and Mandarin.

£13,345.45-£50,523.13 per year
