Grade: B3 - £12.59 per hour
Hours: 37 hours per week, term time only plus 20 days
Accountable to: Vice Principal Student Culture & DSL


This is an extremely exciting time to be joining Leeds City Academy, one of the most rapidly improving schools within the Leeds area and county of West Yorkshire.

Role:


You will take lead responsibility for all safeguarding and child protection matters arising across Leeds City Academy, supporting all staff in dealing with any child protection/vulnerable children concerns that may arise.

You will be responsible forreferring cases of suspected abuse to the local authority children's social care as requiredensuring the safeguarding systems and processes across the Academy are consistent, efficient and rigorous in approachassessing the training needs of staff by implementing and maintaining an ongoing training programme for all staff including induction training for all newly appointed colleaguesensuring that all students within the Academy are safe and well looked aftercoordinating and signposting support and intervention for families in relation to housing, transport, benefits in order to improve the educational outcomes and attendance of children
