About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for an early careers consultant to join our growing Safety team.
This role sits in our Safety team in the Automation & Safety consultancy.

We provide the critical insight and data that contributes to commercial and government sector mobility and transport projects, and informs public safety decision-making and legislation.

Our research supports organisations in the UK (including National Highways and the Department of Transport), overseas governments and multinational agencies to achieve their road safety objectives.

We help our clients to improve road safety while increasing sustainable and active travel. We also support clients in safely introducing new transport modes (e.g. autonomous vehicles/ micro/electric transport).

Our work ranges from large-scale strategic planning using the Safe System approach to road safety audit and safer infrastructure, education, campaigns and training.

This is a hybrid role based either in Birmingham or Wokingham.

Skills

  • Excellent attention to detail and high level of numeracy
  • Well organised, able to prioritise workload and manage own time
  • Excellent technical report writing skills and communication
  • Ability to interpret information and present requirements in a logical fashion
  • Adaptable and flexible, willing to work across a range of projects
  • Ability to understand and follow processes and procedures
  • Ability to manage your time and priorities to deliver to deadlines
  • Motivated, proactive, and enthusiastic
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel
  • Team working
  • Fluency in written and verbal English

Qualifications

  • A good degree (2:1 or above) and strong educational background
