    Working in partnership with the NHS, Blatchford provides the Prosthetic and Orthotic service at Charing Cross Hospital, London.

    We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Prosthetist to join our existing team at the recently refurbished Holderness Limb Centre in Charing Cross Hospital.

    The role:

    As an experienced Prosthetist you will bring a broad base of clinical experience to this dynamic team of Prosthetists, Orthotists and Technicians. Working as an integral part of the MDT, you will have the opportunity to further develop your skills and experience treating a broad range of lower limb amputees and people with limb difference. This will include working with our trauma population and a range of MPKs. You will work closely the NHS physiotherapy team and Consultant to improve patient outcomes and provide mentorship and support to your junior colleagues.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Treating a complex range of patients, using the latest technology including CAD CAM.
    • Assessing, casting/scanning, fitting, supplying, reviewing, and adjusting prosthetics across lower limb amputation levels.
    • Managing your patient's case, ensuring needs are respected and the patient is informed throughout the process
    • Maintaining appropriate clinical notes and records
    • Making a proactive contribution to the Service Contract and Company as a whole

    What are we looking for?

    Essential skills and experience

    • Qualified in Prosthetics
    • HCPC registration
    • Experience in lower limb prosthetics
    • Have specialist clinical experience, e.g. veteran/MPK
    • Previous experience working with trauma patients.
    • Experience or have a desire to be involved in audit or service evaluation.
    • Strong communication skills
    • Team player
    • Able to work autonomously
    • Member of BAPO/ISPO (desirable)
