Ideally, although not essentially, we are looking for people from the transport sector who understand its fast pace and demands.

We have a specific vacancy for an Intermodal Planner to be based in Stokesley Head Office UK.

Responsibilities include:

Ensure all bookings for shipping, barge and rail are made in line with internal processes

Execute full booking details with attention to detail on the specifics of the booking to avoid delays and non-shipment

Track progress of all bookings from beginning to end, ensuring internal planning systems are updated with live information

Effectively communicate, both internally and externally, any changes, delays or disruptions to normal schedules and routings

Continually review service performance and capacity capabilities of approved carriers, highlighting under-performing carriers to your line manager

Required Skills:

Fully computer literate, and able to quickly and effectively grasp in-house systems

Excellent communicator

Excellent attention to detail

Willing team player

Able to withstand high pressure situations, and multi-task and prioritise in a fast-paced environment

Able to build positive and beneficial relationships both internally and externally

Desirable skills:

Experience within the bulk-liquid intermodal logistics sector

Knowledge of UN-regulated goods, and the associated legislation - ADR/IMDG/RID

Multi-lingual; specifically, German, French, Polish.

Training:
Full in-house training will be provided. External industry-related training also available where required.

Salary:
Range will be based on knowledge and experience.

£18,500.00-£26,000.00 per year
