Job Description:


The Legal & Compliance Organisation ("LCO") delivers high quality advice, along with legal, compliance and regulatory services, with integrity and objectivity to achieve KLA's business goals.

This is a global and diverse team consisting of 67 people across 1 countries, working across Commercial, Employment, Corporate, Intellectual Property and Compliance.


As a Student Intern, you will work closely with mentors and colleagues as you are challenged with meaningful, business-critical projects.

Additionally, you will gain an understanding of a multi-national business and the role of the LCO within a global business, you will be able to draw on this experience as you consider your future career plans.

The position will be based in Newport, South Wales, and report into the Senior Director - Commercial Services.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Provide support and assistance to the Global LCO team
  • Research various laws/rules and regulations and update team
  • Help draft, negotiate, and archive legal documents
  • Review and updated legal templates and policies
  • Aid in the LCO's digital transformation, including contract management systems
  • Sending internal and external correspondence
  • Attending meetings, internal and external parties
  • Assist with LCO training and communication requirements
  • Data privacy administration and regulation

Skills Required:

  • Aptitude for research and investigative work
  • Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to communicate and interact at all levels.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills along with a strong attention to detail, strong analytical skills.
  • Team player with the high integrity and ethical standards
  • A "Hands-On" mentality combined with strategic thinking
  • A high degree of flexibility and the ability to respond to changing priorities.
  • The ability to work independently and communicate effectively

Experience, knowledge & qualifications required:

  • Ideally in 2nd year of LLB legal degree, or similar course
  • A passion for legal and commercial matters
