We're recruiting for a Marketing and Communications Officer to join our Communications team.


This is an exciting opportunity for someone to drive awareness of what we do through the full marketing and communications mix and it will be important in helping us grow our supporter base and fundraising initiatives.

Main Duties and Responsibilities will include:

  • Contribute and generate ideas and concepts for multiple channel campaigns aimed at existing and new supporters
  • Take the lead in producing a variety of branded social media content shortform videos, stories, reels, posts and graphics
  • Create targeted social media ads aimed at various demographics, and Google Ads and monitor progress to help drive conversions and traffic
  • Responsible for the daytoday running and monitoring of social media channels and creation of content calendar
  • Responsible for audience growth and engagement rates on social media in line with Right There's strategic plan
  • Be proactive in generating content ideas relevant to our work and source and gather stories of the people we support and other initiatives to share across owned and earned channels be that socials, media, campaigns, website, media activity and other marketing collateral
  • Build relationships with our programmes and the people we support to share stories and experiences in alignment with our values
  • Produce monthly newsletter via Mailchimp aimed at supporters and donors
  • Lead on the production of materials and presentations to ensure a consistent brand execution across internal and external
  • Lead on the design and production of programme marketing materials to ensure a consistent brand style is achieved
  • Build trusting relationships with different programme teams across the country Take a genuine interest in listening to the experiences of the people we support to help inform your work
  • Support the Supporter Engagement Lead, where required, at grassroots fundraising activities and events

Pay Award Pending effective from 1st April 2024 (£29,479 - £32,634) per annum

We are looking for a creative and proactive individual who takes ownership of tasks and has a flair for idea generation and produces high-quality content which reaches and resonates with different audiences.


What you can expect from us
We value our staff as our greatest asset and will provide the following working conditions:

  • The post holder will report to the Head of Communications.
  • Your normal working hours are an average of 35 per week. These hours are usually worked Monday to Friday, and flexibly between the hours of 8.00am to 6.00pm, with core hours over the period of 10am to 4pm with onehour unpaid break. Variations to these hours must be agreed with your line manager.
  • Your usual place of work will be 15 Dava Street, Glasgow, G51 2JA.
  • Annual leave entitlement of 210 hours holiday (equivalent to 6 weeks) pro rata per year in the first year rising to 280 hours (equivalent to 8 weeks) pro rata per year in the second. This includes public holidays.
  • You will be automatically enrolled into the People's Pension in the month that you will complete 3months of employment, provided you meet the autoenrolment criteria.
