Therole

As anElectrician, you will be based in ourworkshop in Falmouth and your main responsibilities will be toassist our team with the construction, commissioning, inspection,repair, and maintenance of electrical equipment within the company.This includes but is not limited to, Marine installations, Lowvoltage distribution systems, safety systems and controlsystems.

The Electrician role is primarilylocated in the Falmouth based workshop but there are opportunitieswhen required to travel to support our operations around the world.This will include the installation/ mobilisation of jack-up barges,offshore drills, subsea drills to project requirements and thegeneral upkeep and maintenance involved to ensure smooth runningand operation of the plant and equipment.

Thesuccessful Electrician will work closely with the fitting andfabrication teams to ensure that plant and equipment delivered andmaintained to a high specification following all organisational andcompany standards. You will also work with Mechanical Engineers andTechnical engineers to ensure that plant and equipment is kept upand running with minimal down time and that maintenance schedulesare upheld. You will work under the Electrical Supervisor on aday-to-day basis. If travelling to sites or vessels, you will workclosely with the vessel crews and fall under the Deck Supervisorsand/or Bargemaster.

Who we're lookingfor:

As a Qualified Electrician,you will have the following:

• Strongheavy industry or marine background
• Approvedelectrical apprenticeship.
• NVQ level 3electrical engineering
• City & guildslevel 3 electrotechnical studies
• 18thedition
• Full clean UK drivinglicense.
• Experience of 3 phase systems andmotors / generators
• Experience with carryingout maintenance activities on electricalequipment.
• C&G 2391 would bedesirable.
