If you regard yourself as an enthusiastic and dynamic Administrator then you may be suitable to join our forward thinking, vibrant Health Visiting team in Reading.

Whether you are an experienced Administrator ready for a new direction, or new the role, we will ensure you receive individualised and effective support from both your Health Visiting line manager and colleagues within your team.


You will work within Reading as part of a Team to support our staff in the delivery of core and targeted services to children aged 0-5 and their families.

You will require excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to work in partnership with other teams and agencies, along with great communication skills and a passion for working with children and families.

Working sometimes without supervision and using own initiative.
Communicating and working as part of a Team to ensure priorities for administration are met
Manage New Birth notifications and children transferring in and out of the area
Planning work by adding to Monthly Team Planner as required.
Book appointments directly into practitioner diary or to allocate as appropriate following local process
Use our IT and other technology in your day to role
Support in the management of workload flow and be quick to respond to changes
Send out health related information and questionnaires as required, and take appointment bookings
Assist in routine admin work at clinics, and in the opening/closing of the clinic buildings (if necessary

Excellent communication skills both oral and written

Ability to work alone and as part of a team

Comprehensive knowledge of administrative skills

Ability to prioritise and manage own workload

Effective time management skills

Ability to be flexible to meet service need.

Competent in Word, Excel, Outlook and Database systems
