- Conducting tree health assessments to identify diseases or pest problems.
- Planning and performing tree surgery tasks, including pruning, trimming, felling, and stump grinding, using both hand and power tools.
- Safely operating a variety of equipment such as chainsaws, chippers, and stump grinders.
- Implementing tree planting and aftercare programs to support growth and health.
- Advising clients on tree conservation and maintenance practices.
- Responding to emergency call-outs for storm damage or hazardous tree situations.
- Maintaining equipment and adhering to health and safety standards.
- Proven experience as a Tree Surgeon/Arborist or relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Diploma in Arboriculture).
- Comprehensive understanding of tree species, diseases, and the latest care techniques.
- Proficiency in the use of arborist tools and equipment, with a strong emphasis on safety.
- Physical fitness and the ability to work at heights.
- A team player with excellent communication skills.
- A full UK driving licence is desirable.
