    We are looking for a passionate, dedicated Revit technician to fill a permanent position within the Civil and Structural Engineering team in London.

    About you

    You are a technician with experience in modelling a range of buildings. You are able to demonstrate technical aptitude supplemented by outstanding IT skills. You enjoy expressing creative ideas and are able to communicate effectively to build firm working relationships. You can demonstrate the ability to identify technical issues and have a collaborative team-working style.

    You are able to provide a fresh, practical approach and have sound engineering knowledge.

    Key responsibilities

    The role will include, but not be limited to, the following responsibilities:

  • To assist the BIM Lead and update structural aspects of multi-disciplinary models;
  • Delivering information within defined timescales;
  • Communicate clearly with senior members in the team;
  • Ensure appropriate health and safety information is added to drawings and models;
  • Manage information in accordance with company and client procedures.
  • Your education and technical skills

  • Hold a minimum of an ONC in Civil Engineering or relevant engineering course;
  • Good engineering knowledge and understanding of key structural engineering principals;
  • 2-3+ years Revit experience within the structures environment and at least 5 years working for a civil and structural engineering company;
  • Good understanding of BIM Level 2 processes;
  • Used to multi-disciplinary collaborative working;
  • Experience of modelling historic and large scale buildings;
  • Interest in parameteric design (Dynamo, RhinoInside)
  • Good knowledge of use of Navisworks and AutoCAD;
  • CSCS card holder (desirable);

  • Organised and methodical with particular attention to detail;
  • Positive, enthusiastic approach and good communication skills
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and work to tight deadlines under pressure;
  • Have a pragmatic approach and possess strong problem-solving techniques;
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships in an international multi-disciplinary environment;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with an ability to communicate with tact and diplomacy;
  • Focused on the task in hand and ensuring structural design team is progressing in accordance with the programme.
