The overview of the role would require School Premises Manager to manage a team responsible for the upkeep, care, maintenance, health and safety and facilities management of the school, with the direction and leadership of the Estates Manager.

The School Premises Manager will also supervise the quality of work provided by contractors, including grounds maintenance and cleaning staff.

Lead a team of Premises Officers, including their recruitment, performance management and training inc. The role will include some third-party line management for ongoing contracts inc. an external cleaning contract and sports facility lettings.

Take pride in ensuring the highest standards of Health & Safety so that the building and grounds comply with the highest level of security regarding safeguarding.

As well as being an excellent line manager the School Premises Manager role requires good knowledge of plumbing, general and ground maintenance, electrical/building maintenance, and heating systems.
