    Senior Data Protection Specialist – London hybrid - £50,000 - £70,000 + Bonus + Benefits

    Locke & McCloud are looking for an experienced Data Protection Specialist to join our client as a Senior Specialist in their growing but established Data Protection team You will be a huge contributor to our clients Data Protection strategy and roadmap and will have the opportunity to take the lead on various projects across their global team. responsible for developing and implementing data protection strategies and policies on a global scale.

    Our client is looking for people with experience working on large-scale projects in a global environment, with a deep understanding of global data protection principles and technologies.

    Main responsibilities:

    • Lead the design, development, and implementation of our clients data protection strategy and policies across the organisations.
    • Conduct risk assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and areas for improvement in data protection practices.
    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to assess data protection requirements for new projects and initiatives.
    • Provide guidance and support to business units on data protection best practices and compliance requirements.
    • Monitor and analyse data protection incidents, investigate root causes, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
    • Stay current with relevant data protection laws, regulations, and industry standards, and ensure compliance.
    • Develop and deliver data protection training and awareness programs for employees.
    • Participate in cross-functional teams to evaluate and implement data protection technologies and solutions.
    • Serve as a subject matter expert on data protection matters, providing guidance and recommendations to senior management.
    • Contribute to the continuous improvement of data protection processes and procedures.

    To be considered for this role, you should have:

    • Must have prior experience in data protection/privacy, ideally in a technical or analyst role.
    • Experience working on large-scale projects on a global scale.
    • Experience working with data protection laws and regulations such as GDPR, CCPA, and others.
    • Strong understanding of data protection technologies, including encryption, access controls, and data loss prevention.
    • Experience conducting risk assessments and implementing risk mitigation strategies.
    • Ability to work collaboratively with global teams and senior stakeholders.
    • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
