About the role


You will support authors and manage freelancers during the writing and development of designated content (which could be print, digital, or blended products).

You will implement best-practice teaching methodology within our content and ensure that quality standards are adhered to at all stages of the publishing process.


This role requires collaborating with so many different teams that you will be an integral part of implementing our content.

Directly working with teams such as commissioning, design, and delivery - the creation of our content is your main goal.


There will be lots of opportunities to get involved with working with a range of external stakeholders such as authors, development editors, suppliers and many more.

A day to day in your role might look like:

  • Participating in author briefing meetings, advising on editorial and content processes, and working collaboratively to create and agree detailed writing plans
  • Building effective author relationships to produce high quality content, while adhering to budget and schedule constraints
  • Reviewing and approving author writing samples and draft manuscripts, advising on any editorial or pedagogical queries that may arise throughout the writing period
  • Managing the content review process
  • Checking and accepting final manuscripts
  • Reviewing and resolving content queries at copyedit and proof stages

About you


We are looking for a highly motivated and organised individual, with the ability to build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

Your previous experience of overseeing the creation of high-quality content, and a proven track record of managing a demanding workload in a fast-paced environment will make you successful in this role.

Previous teaching experience would be an advantage.
