We're looking for a

Project Site Planner for a 12 month contract working in the industrial gas sector based in Alloa, Scotland.


What does the Project Site Planner role involve?

  • The Project Site Planner will be reporting to the Project Controls Manager but working closely with the Site Project Manager and construction team
  • Responsibilities will depend on the exact role but will include
  • Developing and maintaining detailed construction planning for the assigned areas of the project. This may include specific construction contracts, home office, outsourced or site engineering, materials and equipment or site services
  • Ensuring that the planning integrates into the overall project planning and rolls up consistently for progress reporting and earned value.
  • Progressing the schedules and production of planning updates, S curves, earned value and productivity reports and other status reports in the required format for the Site Project Manager and the Offshore Senior Project Manager
  • Maintain and manage schedule impact of changes and ensure that they are suitably approved and communicated
  • Provide scheduling support in the impact of changes and construction change orders to support the subcontracts manager and the Site Project Manager
  • Support negotiations of changes as necessary
  • Integrate from a planning perspective site purchase requisitions for purchased equipment, materials and services
  • Represent the Project Controls Manager as requested
  • Attend and present as necessary at Project Progress Meetings and Management Interface meetings with the Client and the management
  • Maintain schedule KPIs as required by the Site Project Manager and the Offshore Senior Project Manager
  • Assist in building of claims, in particular EOT

What skills and experience do you need as a Project Site Planner?

Essential

  • Experience of project planning and specifically experience of construction work
  • Strong understanding of earned value in relation to different construction types of work
  • Ability to represent the company in front of the Client
  • Team Player
  • Strong communicator written and oral
  • Strong and effective leader and coordinator
  • Organized, disciplined, able to perform under pressure and manage multiple priorities and parallel tasks
  • Strong Microsoft software skills, particularly Excel
  • Expert in Primavera P6 and MS Project
  • Strong report writing skills and specifically experience of Engineering Planning reporting formats and process
  • Experience of working in a multicultural project team

Desirable

  • Oil & Gas experience
  • Experience of working on construction sites

What is the pay for the Project Site Planner role?
Pay rate circa £45 per hour
