    Job Description:
    We are seeking a visionary and experienced Lead Architect to spearhead the technical direction and execution of Google Cloud Identity. You will be responsible for driving innovation, building a high-performing team, and delivering secure and scalable identity and access management (IAM) solutions for the Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
    As an architect you collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, architect solutions, and ensure seamless integration with existing systems and processes. You will also coach and mentor engineers, help teams develop their solutions and provide technical guidance where needed. This role requires strong technical proficiency in GCP services, along with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

    Key Responsibilities:

  • Define the technical vision and roadmap for Google Cloud Identity, aligning with evolving business needs and industry trends.
  • Lead a team of talented engineers in the design, development, and implementation of core functionalities for Google Cloud Identity services.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and collaboration within the team, promoting knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, product, security) to translate user requirements into robust technical architectures and solutions.
  • Stay at the forefront of cloud security and identity management advancements, identifying and evaluating emerging technologies and standards.
  • Architect secure and scalable systems capable of handling high user volumes and complex access control scenarios within a cloud environment.
  • Champion security best practices throughout the development lifecycle, ensuring the highest levels of data protection and system integrity.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, design specifications, and API references.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering their technical growth and development.
  • Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum + years of experience in software engineering with + years of hands on GCP experience and a proven track record of leading and architecting complex cloud-based solutions.
  • In-depth expertise in cloud security principles and best practices (IAM, access control, data encryption) within a GCP environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing large-scale identity and access management (IAM) systems.
  • Strong understanding of distributed systems, databases, and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience with API design and development methodologies.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team of engineers.
  • Proven ability to effectively manage technical complexities, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Google Cloud certifications such as Google Cloud Certified - Professional Cloud Architect or Google Cloud Certified - Professional Data Engineer.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Knowledge of other cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
