Etex are seeking a Logistics Supervisor to join the Sigmat team

Location:
Leeds


From £30,000 Depending on Exprience

What you'll do:


Reporting into the Production Manager, the Logistics Supervisor is responsible for:

  • Managing the Health and Safety of the role holder's specific area within the factory
  • Executing quality management procedures for role holder's specific area of responsibility
- driving the output of the area

  • Accountable for the daytoday people management activities including performance management, absence management etc
  • Supervising the daily activities of a support, production, or operations team
  • Setting priorities for the team to ensure task completion and coordinating work activities with other supervisors
  • Accountable for the results of a mediumsized routine support or production operations team
  • Solving problems based on practice and precedent
  • Training team members and providing input to employee performance evaluation

What you'll bring:


  • Extensive experience of working in a similar role within a manufacturing environment
  • Experience of managing a team with demonstrable knowledge in absence and performance management up to dismissal
  • Knowledge of working with hand tools
- working with assembly plans and reading design drawings, or Rolling mill (cold roll steel) experience desirable

  • Quality management experience
  • KPI reporting experience
  • Effective leadership skills
  • Must be able to manage several people and outputs, prioritising accordingly
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
