TSW Training is an award winning training provider based in Bridgend delivering apprenticeship programmes throughout South Wales. Following a period of sustained growth we are currently undertaking a restructure creating numerous new positions with the organisation.

TSW Training are looking to recruit a Head of Department for the Childcare team. This team delivers apprenticeships in CCPLD, Playwork and STLS at levels 2 to 5.


Key Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Manage Route Managers to ensure operational performance is inline with quality and performance targets.
  • Identify opportunities to develop existing and new apprenticeship programmes.
  • Participate in learning route reviews and lead action plan completion.
  • Lead qualification development to ensure apprenticeship programmes meet the needs of learner and employers.
  • Quality assure all teaching, learning and assessment resource content.
  • Provide quality and performance reports to directors.
  • Advise the Quality Director of any quality concerns or noncompliance with internal quality assurance policies and procedures.
  • Lead management team meetings.
  • Oversee recruitment of apprentices in line with contractual and operational requirements.
  • Oversee preparations for EQA visits.
  • Participate in Quality Working Group activities.
  • Support implementation of the Quality Development Plan.
  • Support preparation for external audits, quality evaluations and inspections.
  • Lead implementation of internal quality assurance strategy.
  • Adhere to all internal quality assurance policies and procedures.
  • Adhere to internal and external health and safety requirements.
  • Adhere to all requirements of the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR).
  • Undertake continuous professional development in relation to occupational competence as well as teaching and assessment practices.
  • Participate in standardisation and sharing of best practice within and across delivery teams.
  • Adhere to the Education Workforce Council (EWC) Code of Professional Conduct and Practice.
  • Undertake any other reasonable duties as required.

Job Types:

Salary:
Up to £35,000.00 per year
