- Prepare documentation and quotations at pre-sales stage, including cost budgets and cost estimates for new contracts
- Review the current bid process from start to finish and make changes to improve the process
- Work with the Sales team to meet bid specifications; providing detail and competitive costing along with meeting tender deadlines
- Contact suppliers and manufacturers for quotations and project support
- Follow up bids once submitted
- Liaise at all levels (projects team, sales and directors)
- Balance multiple proposals and estimations simultaneously, ensuring each reaches the client by the agreed deadline
- Provide detailed reports as required
- Attend client, contractor and project meetings
- Adhere to company standards and guidelines when analysing and providing estimations; focus on maximising profit and customer satisfaction, while minimising any potential risks to the company
- Assist and support other members of the team as and when required
- Proven record of estimating in the construction and fit out field to a high degree
- Extensive experience of working with Gantt tracking tools; MS Project desirable
- Ability to understand technical drawings
- Good IT skills including MS Office, AutoCAD
