Title:
Finance Executive - Permanent


Reporting to:
Finance Manager

Locations: 64 Cheshire street, E2 6EH Tues/Thurs mandatory days in the office and home working (optional)
Office Hours: 09:30 to 17:30 (or flexible working arrangements to be agreed)


Salary:
£26k - £30k depending on experience, plus discretionary annual bonus

Job Objectives:


This position involves taking ownership of the basic and intermediary day to day accounting including but not limited to Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes, Bank reconciliations and managing the payment processes, Credit cards and expense management, aiding within the closure of month end on the management accounts as well as getting involved in the financial reporting.


About the Role
Processing sales and purchases invoices on a timely basis and ensuring posting are accurate.
Managing the bank accounts STG/Euro/USD- Payment runs & timely bank reconciliations.
Processing credit cards and reconciling receipts to ensure VAT accounted for.
Support with the month end process with reconciliations on the balance sheet on aged
receivables/payables, journals and variance analysis
Support the budgeting and forecasting processes where required
Support completing VAT returns
Ad hoc financial and business reporting as required
Data analysis relating to commercial metrics as directed by CFO
Support the management of procurement processes
Credit control management working with international clients to ensure compliance with their
purchase order and invoice processes are adhered to allow timely collection of receivables.
General liaison within teams to support them with queries such as invoices, coding, budget spend, analysis, etc


Ideally we are looking for for:
Part-qualified (CIMA/ACCA) Management Accountant or AAT qualification or equivalent work experience

Good working knowledge of Google suites and Microsoft Office packages (Excel, Outlook and Word)

We are also happy to support anyone would you like to work towards a finance qualification.

Proficient User of Xero Accounting package ideally

Strong and effective communicator, both written and verbal

Highly self-motivated, proactive, personable and a team player

Copes well under pressure whilst working to tight deadlines.

Conscientious, high attention to detail with the ability to see tasks through to completion.

Methodical, analytical and logical thinker

Able to demonstrate use of initiative
