    Job summary

    We are looking for Registered Nurses to join our enthusiastic and motivated Emergency Departmentbased at Colchester Hospital.

    We have full time and part time opportunities available for both permanent, fixed term and secondment opportunities.

    You will have proven registered nurse experience in an acute environment, ideally within emergency medicine and have the desire to work with patients who present to the Emergency Department.

    We will support you to develop skills in emergency nursing. You can expect to work in a progressive and motivated team who will actively encourage your development in emergency nursing.

    Main duties of the job

    Be responsible for the delivery and maintenance of high standard individualised evidence based patient care and supervising others in delivery of care.

    Demonstrating a professional manner and good communication skills in all aspects of your work.

    Job responsibilities

  • Create and maintain a safe and welcoming environment for patients, visitors and staff
  • Maintains effective communications between patients, their relatives and the multi-professional team both within the department and beyond, to avoid problems caused by poor communication
  • Supports the Senior Sister(s)/Charge Nurse(s) in ensuring the maintenance of high standards of nursing care.
