    Job Title: Multi-skilled Technican/Electrician

    Salary: £40,000 pa

    Location: Dundee but will be required to travel

    Job Type: Full Time, Permanent

    We have a fantastic opportunity for a qualified Multi-skilled Technician/Electrician to join our expanding team. This is a varied role with lots of opportunity to learn new skills and progress your career. The role will require you to provide electrical maintenance services at local plants but there will also be opportunities for travel across the UK and abroad.

    Responsibilities and duties

    Reporting to the Managing Director you will:

    • Fault find, install and maintain electrical systems, instrumentation (pressure, temperature, flow and level) and control systems
    • Conduct calibrations and loop checking of instruments relating to the sites DCS/control systems - training provided
    • Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical specifications
    • Conduct inspections and tests to identify and resolve electrical issues
    • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards
    • Collaborate with team members and other trades to complete projects efficiently
    • Provide technical guidance and support to other electricians as needed
    • Complete work orders, log maintenance tasks, and record electrical measurements accurately

    Professional skills/qualifications

    We are looking for:

    • A qualified electrician
    • Someone with at least 1 year's experience working in a heavy process environment such as a power station, refinery, chemical plant etc

    Desirable skills

    We are looking for someone with the following:

    • A recognised EC&I engineering qualification such as NVQ Level 3 / HNC
    • Environmental monitoring experience
    • Experience conducting calibrations and loop checking of instruments relating to the sites DCS/control system

    Personal skills

    The Technician/Electrician role would suit someone who is:

    • Able to work under their own initiative
    • Able to be a brand ambassador for Alator
    • Results focused and can deliver accurate results on time
    • Has strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to travel
