As a Production Supervisor you will bea critical link between colleagues operating on the production lineand the Quality Assurance and MD. This is the first step towards amanagerial position whilst remaining an operational hands onrole.

You will have overall responsibility for anoperational area within a food productiondepartment.

Skills Experience andQualifications required for this role:

Previous experience ofsupervising others within a FMCG manufacturing environment whereyou will have led a team of people

The abilityto role model setting a great example to your team members ensuringthat quality is at the heart of everything

Anunderstanding in the use of lean tools such as root cause analysis5S workplace organisation and the SMED change over process and youwill have ideally used these or other lean practices in yourprevious roles

Experience of supporting trainingand coaching colleagues and the willingness to learn and developyour skills in this area

The ability to buildgreat working relationships and create a fantastic team spiritencouraging colleagues to be the best they canbe

You will be responsible for:

Leading by example to ensurestandards are achieved in key areas such as health and safetyenvironment hygiene and of course product qualityassurance

Having a great understanding of yourproduction requirements and ensuring your line is operatingefficiently in line with the production plan

Operationally covering key roles on your line or in your area asrequired

Working closely with your shift managerto make sure that you have the right people in place at the righttime with the right level of skills to deliver productiontargets

Coaching training developing andmotivating your team to achieve

Leadingproactive problemsolving activities and escalating immediate risksand issues appropriately and in a timely manner to the shiftmanager

Working well with colleagues on othershifts making sure handovers are communicatedclearly.
