    Overview

    , a business unit of RTI International, we are a large and rapidly growing internationally recognised, not-for-profit research organisation providing consulting and research expertise to optimise decision making for pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device products.

    We are currently seeking a Research Assistant to join ourteam at RTI Health Solutions (RTI-HS) in Europe. As a PCOA researcher at RTI-HS, you will be working as part of a small team in all aspects of patient-centered research to support pharmaceutical clients to incorporate patient experience data in the drug development process.

    With a team of over 400 staff, based in our European and North American offices, RTI-HS provides multidisciplinary project expertise in Health Economics, Patient-Centered Outcomes Assessment, Surveys and Observational Studies, Medical Statistics, Health Preference Assessment, Epidemiology, Risk Management, and Market Access.

    Location:

    Office-based in Manchester

    Responsibilities

    In this role, you will be expected to develop your skills in a supportive environment, to enable you to assist with a broad range of PCOA research projects. You will be expected to work in small project teams under the leadership of a senior Project Leader.

    Your work may include but not be limited to:

  • Collection of patient-reported survey data
  • Qualitative interviewing
  • Literature reviews
  • PRO instrument development, modification and cross-cultural adaptation
  • Evaluation of PRO instrument quality
  • Development and support of PRO measurement strategies
  • Provision of regulatory guidance and support
  • Qualifications

  • An undergraduate degree in a social science or health-related discipline
  • Excellent English-language skills (both written and oral)
  • Strong critical appraisal skills and attention to detail
  • A demonstrated understanding of both qualitative and quantitative research methods
  • Experience conducting literature searches including the use of online databases (e.g. PubMed, PsycINFO etc.)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software
  • Self-motivation and strong organisational skills with the ability to deliver to deadlines
  • A clear and committed team-based attitude to project work
