Accounts Assistant - Manchester, United Kingdom - Karter Thomas Ltd
Description
Our client is a not for profit housing provider and they have approached Karter Thomas to assist them in recruiting for an Accounts Assistant on a 3 month temporary contract.
With an excellent reputation and a real emphasis on supporting their staff our client is looking for someone with an accounts background who can come in and hit the ground running to cover this period.
Your duties will include the following:
Purchase Ledger
Process invoices, allocating purchase and repair orders against invoices
Reconcile supplier statements
Deal with supplier enquiries
Payroll
To prepare the monthly payroll, checking gross pay statutory and other deductions...
Ensure all submissions to HMRC are done on a timely basis.
Process employee expense claims
Ensure starter/leaver/maternity pay/sickness is all entered into sage in a timely manner
Treasury
Ensure bank reconciliations are completed on a weekly basis
Ensure that cash received is banked in line with the financial regulations.
Manage the issuing of petty cash and top ups in line with the financial regulations.
Provide cover on the rent accounting function which may include.
Post cash, standing orders, housing benefit and universal credit on a daily basis.
Run weekly rent debit and End of Period
To be considered for this role you must be able to demonstrate experience of working within a finance department in the UK.
