Working closely with our internal clients and stakeholders, you will be involved in drafting and negotiating key client and supplier contracts, ensuring compliance with contractual policies and procedures for Elior UK and its subsidiary companies.
This is a varied role, supervised by two experienced lawyers with lots of opportunity for learning and growth.This is a unique opportunity to work in a challenging but rewarding role as part of an established and friendly in-house legal team.
With processes and procedures fully embedded in the business, including a suite of precedent contracts, and a playbook, you will work closely with 3 other lawyers with significant contact with senior managers and directors on a variety of commercial and legal work in a fast paced environment.
Your key responsibilities as a key part of the legal team will be to manage a caseload of commercial work and contracts to include complex drafting and negotiation with external suppliers and clients, ensure regulatory compliance in key areas, whilst working alongside internal clients with diverse skills and varying backgrounds.
Be a key contact and legal advisor to the purchasing team and support functions comprising HR, Finance, IT, Sales, Marketing, Safety & Wellbeing and PensionsEnsure Elior UK has viable contracts that are legally robust and in line with policies and procedures, playbook and sign off process
Be accountable for ensuring all contracts are in place prior to supply of goods/commencement of services, or renewed and extended on time and identify when contract variation is necessary
Be responsible for supporting the Legal and Compliance Director
Support in developing and delivering training resources for an online portal on GDPR, Bribery and Corruption and other key legislative developments impacting our business
5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, hybrid working
Experience in a well-known/national law firm preferred
~ It would be ideal if the candidate has some experience of dealing with commercial contracts
~ A self-starter, confident and competent to work alone, but also not afraid to seek support where appropriate
The ability to understand, interpret, and apply commercial principles in the provision of legal services, particularly in respect of charging and risk evaluation
We offer a salary of up to £70,000 DOE plus 15% KPI performance-related bonus
