    Job Description:

    As a Senior Commercial and Contract Manager at UCC Holdings, you will be responsible for overseeing all commercial and contractual aspects of our construction projects. With a focus on maximizing profitability and minimizing risk, you will play a pivotal role in driving the financial success of the company.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead and manage the commercial and contract management team, providing guidance and direction to ensure effective execution of project contracts.
    • Negotiate and review contracts with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to secure favorable terms and conditions.
    • Develop and implement commercial strategies to optimize project profitability and minimize risks, including cost control, revenue recognition, and claims management.
    • Monitor project budgets, costs, and financial performance to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
    • Oversee the preparation of project bids and proposals, including pricing, terms, and conditions, to maximize win rates and profitability.
    • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, legal requirements, and company policies and procedures throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Manage commercial disputes and claims, working closely with legal counsel and project teams to resolve issues in a timely and cost-effective manner.
    • Provide commercial and contractual guidance and support to project managers, procurement teams, and other stakeholders as needed.
    • Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes to inform commercial strategies and decision-making.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Law, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
    • Minimum of 8 years' experience in commercial and contract management, with a proven track record in the construction industry.
    • Strong understanding of construction contracts, including FIDIC, NEC, and JCT forms, and relevant legal and regulatory frameworks.
    • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
    • Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
    • Leadership experience, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve goals and deliver results.
    • Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
