Are you interested in working for a world top 100 university?

The project involves collaborating with leading UK compostable packaging producers and a behaviour change organisation.

As part of the behavioural science research, you will work with leading UK compostable packaging producers and a behaviour change organisation to understand and change behaviours associated with compostable packaging.

The project will involve co-designing and evaluating the effects of behaviour change interventions that prompt appropriate sorting and depositing of compostable packaging across applied settings (e.g. in catering sectors, workplaces and UK households). You will be responsible for the day-to-day running and management of this behavioural science project.


You will join a vibrant community of researchers at The University of Sheffield who are working on projects to enable sustainable packaging systems that reduce problematic single-use plastics, and are in line with the UK Plastics Pact.

You will also join the vibrant community of academic staff, postgraduate and postdoctoral researchers that make up the Social and Behaviour Change research group in the Department of Psychology,

You will have experience in research design, data collection, data analysis and reporting, conducted in line with ethical standards.

You will be able to effectively communicate to academic and non-academic audiences (both verbal and written), take creative and literature-informed approaches to solve problems, have a good attention detail and be able to organise and plan work to meet tight deadlines.

You will have the opportunity to present study findings to research partners, relevant conferences, and contribute to the preparation of peer-review journal articles.

There may also be occasional site visits to UK-based locations to conduct the research or meet with project partners.
