    Eaton Mission Systems Division are recruiting a structural production Manufacturing Engineer to support the Air to Air refuelling production line.

    This role entails the creation and optimisation of the assembly processes required to build and test military equipment used for air to air refuelling capabilities.

    This is a full time role, that requires the on site attendance on a daily basis to provide technical assistance to the manufacturing operatives to ensure successful delivery of products to the end users.


    Manufacturing Engineer Job Responsibilities:
    Has an in depth understanding of sheet metal, fabrication and forming processes
    Ability to interpret design data and create manufacturing instructions
    Is the go to person for technical advice for the project they are assigned to
    Can analyse manufacturing problems, provide solutions and guide the shop floor team to success
    Has an appreciation of MRP / ERP systems, with the ability to create and maintain routings and Bills of Materials
    Is able to review and action engineering change notifications including the ability to determine suitable manufacturing point of embodiments
    Support the wider engineering community in resolution of design related issues
    Will work alongside the suppliers to resolve queries, support on site visits and assist in optimising manufacturing processes
    Identify requirements for tooling and implement solutions into the build sequence
    Drive continuous improvement of manufacturing processes, reducing costs and increasing repeatability
    Attends and contributes to DFMEA & PFMEA activities
    Attends and contributes at tier meetings, material review boards and engineering change reviews.

    Qualifications:
    HNC / HND in Engineering discipline
    Minimum of 5 years experience as a Manufacturing Engineer or an operations role within the aerospace industry

    Skills:
    Experience of PFMEA and DFMEA processes
    Experience of PPAP / APQP [desirable]
    Health and Safety Qualification i.e. IOSH / NEBOSH [desirable]
    Continuous Improvement Certification i.e. green belt [desirable]
