Wood is currently recruiting for a Principal Civil/Structural Designer on a PSC Contract working outside IR35. The role will be focal point position for an onshore project.
Provide Civil / Structural Design ExpertiseProvide input to Civil/Structural and layout studiesDefine Civil/Structural design requirements for technical scopesDevelopment of deliverables and documentation required for use in work packs and in the supply chainSupport the development of and/or develop requisitions for the procurement of Civil/Structural related material and equipmentUndertake design checking of Civil/Structural deliverablesProvide support to the Lead Civil/Structural Engineer and the project delivery teamProvide Civil/Structural design technical expertise to the projectResolve Civil/Structural related design issues by applying accepted principles, codes and standardsAdhere to procedures to assure technical integrity of Civil/Structural designsProvide support for interdisciplinary considerations through attendance at required design reviews and undertaking inter discipline checkingMaintain own knowledge and understanding to meet competence requirements of Principal Civil/Structural DesignerProvide feedback on lessons learnt to aide in continuous improvementUtilize software tools in design development and checking (eg PDMS, Navisworks , E3D )
