Reed Accountancy are currently working with an industry-leading client based in Central Reading.

Our client is seeking an Accounts Assistant to join their growing and dynamic business on a full time, permanent basis.

Reporting into the Finance Manager, you will be working alongside and supporting them with all the daily accounting duties such as:

  • Day to day management of the Purchase Ledger, including coding and processing of supplier invoices.
  • Reconciling and posting high volume credit card transactions.
  • Management of staff expenses and scheduling payment runs in line with company processes and procedures.
  • Identify Accruals and prepayments; process these in accordance with standard accounting procedures.
  • Processing Client invoices with an understanding of revenue recognition.
  • Daily bank postings and monthly reconciliation.
Knowledge of Xero and Excel would be highly advantageous, but not essential. However experience of working within a finance role before is essential.


The office is based in the town centre and doesn't offer parking, however, is very close to local public transport routes.

The working hours are Monday to Friday, 9am to 5.30pm with a hybrid working model of 3 days based in the office and 2 days workingfrom home
