Are you looking for an opportunity to make a real contribution to students' and researchers' success?

We are looking for an enthusiastic Academic Skills Tutor to join our Library Academic Support Team, providing academic and research skills support to students and researchers at Leeds Beckett University.

The Team supports the development of a wide range of academic skills, including research skills, academic communication, maths, statistics and IT skills.

Working with a team of Academic Skills Tutors, Academic Librarians and Research Support staff, you will provide in-curriculum teaching, online learning resources, open workshops/webinars and one-to-one appointments.

You will build strong partnerships with academic staff in the Schools to integrate academic skills into the curriculum, and with the Graduate School and the Research and Enterprise Service to support research students and staff.

You should have excellent academic communication skills, and experience of teaching academic skills both face to face and online within higher education, preferably at the postgraduate level.

You will also have experience of using learning technologies to support students in their academic skills development.

The Library Academic Support Team works across both City and Headingley campuses. A limited amount of home working may be possible.
