As an experienced Executive Assistant at Canada Life you will be responsible for providing proactive, professional support to Executive Directors.

You will be responsible for the effective management of Executive calendars and meetings. Providing dedicatedsupport to your Executives, ensuring that workloads and time is managed effectively.
The role will report into the Head Business Administration, but day to day priorities will be set by your Executives leads, therefore excellent personal time management and efficiency is required


What you'll do:


  • Arranging and managing meetings invitations internally and externally including dealing with external regulator bodies or consultants, making travel arrangements as required and managing itineraries effectively. Using initiative where required to amendor alter meetings in line with operating further efficiencies for all parties
  • Act as a liaison between the Executives and their Direct Reports to ensure that information is requested and obtained in a timely manner and ensure agreed timescales for deliverables are met, assisting Direct Reports as appropriate when requested by theExecutives
  • Production and distribution of reports, presentations and correspondence on behalf of Executives as required including those related to Boards and Executive Committee Meetings
  • Working and forging relationships with EA colleagues ensuring close and continued interaction to manage joint collateral, meeting schedules, etc.
  • Support the executive by following up on key actions and data, as required and liaising with other senior people in the Company both locally and internationally in order to provide satisfactory communication and information on behalf of the Executive Directors

Skills / Experience Required:


  • Experienced Executive Assistant with several years of experience within a similar organisation where possible
  • Advanced PC and Microsoft Office Suite Experience
  • High attention to detail
  • A high standard of planning and organisational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work and communicate at all levels across the organisation
  • Discretion and Confidentiality is essential
  • Good written and verbal skills
  • Proactive
  • Able to work on own initiative
