    ABOUT YOU

    As an Electrical Safety Senior Test Engineer, you will encourage teamwork to support each other, our customers and grow together.

    Required skills and experience:
    • Relevant Electrical/Electronic formal qualifications
    • Good IT Skills, good knowledge of Excel, Word and data retention systems
    • Experience of working in accordance with a Quality Management System
    • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and other members of the team
    The following would be beneficial although not essential:
    • Background in product safety testing
    • Experience and knowledge in one or more electrical safety standards e.g.: IEC/EN 62368, IEC/EN 60335, IEC/EN 60598/62031/UL153/UL1598
    • Experience in safety critical function design/development of electrical products
    • Understanding of different certification schemes and processes
    • Experience of generating test reports for customers and certification purposes
    • Ability to fault find down to component level
    • Experience working in an ISO 17025 accredited laboratory
    ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

    As an Electrical Safety Senior Test Engineer, you will be working within the Intertek Electrical UK team, closely with clients to evaluate their products and documentation to ensure they meet specific requirements of the applicable test standards.

    Key responsibilities:
    • Complete electrical safety evaluations for Intertek's clients
    • Manage assigned projects within Intertek guidelines
    • Assess technical documentation and processes against standard requirements
    • Provide project updates to customers, as well as management
    • Complete and review Intertek's evaluation test reports
    • Ensure evaluations are completed to standard and within set timescales
    • Provide technical support to the business
    • Attend customer calls and meetings
    • Ensure evaluations are conducted in conjunction within Intertek's quality system and accreditation requirements.
    Permanent, Full Time. Based in Milton Keynes. Depending on work requirements, working from home is an option on occasions.
