Greater Manchester Mental Health are looking to recruit an energetic and committed food production supervisor to join the team at our Prestwich site.

Working with fresh ingredients and local suppliers, we are truly committed to producing the best possible food and service we can offer.


Working with a large catering department, we are looking for individuals who want to join the team and shine, bringing a wealth of skills and knowledge to the team with a modern flare and passion for food production within the NHS.


This is a hands-on role leading from the front in food production and supervision, working with a strong catering team and high-quality equipment to produce delicious fresh food for our service users.


Working 5 out of 7 days on rotation with our supervisor team leads to a great work-life balance, with no late shifts and home every night in time for dinner.


  • To monitor and maintain consistent food standards and quality across all areas and during all stages of production
  • To ensure that quality control measures and hygiene systems are all achieved at all times.
  • To prepare, cook and present food to both patient and retail units in line with exceptional departmental standards, using fresh ingredients.
  • To ensure that all food is presented and served in line with Trust standards using innovation in the method, presentation and food service.
  • To participate in the HACCP procedure in accordance with the Trusts Food Safety Policy and maintain correct use of records.
  • To ensure that quality control measures and hygiene systems are always achieved.
  • To have accountability for the daytoday running of the kitchen service.
  • To actively participate in the ongoing management and development of menus, in line with Trust guidance.
  • To actively discuss ideas with the customer and obtain constructive feedback.
  • To Maintain staff training records and supervisions in line with trust guidance.
