Description

Our client is a leading Development Consultancy operating throughout the North of England offering Project Management, Quantity Surveying, BIM Leader, Development Consultancy and Employer's Agent services across a number of sectors.

Given recent expansionand continued growth, an exciting opportunity has arisen in our Eccles based Project Management team.


They must also be customer focused, have excellent interpersonal, communication and time management skills and have an aspiration in the future to lead multi-disciplinary teams.

Management and leadership of projects both pre and post-contract across a number of sectors including, but not limited to Housing, Education and Local Government;
Comply with our clients internal quality and project management procedures, to include reporting, change control, risk management and gateway approvals;
Develop programmes, using Microsoft Project;
Financial management of own commissions;
Lead on major project management commissions, taking responsibility for all aspects of service delivery;
Preparation of contracts for commissions;
Ensuring that client objectives are met and that projects are delivered to time and cost targets and the appropriate quality standards;
Provide Employer's Agent / Contract Administrator services

Carry out the appointment and co-ordination of other consultants and contractors where required;
Prepare agendas, minutes and supporting documents for meetings as required;
Arrange and where required chair the required meetings to ensure the successful delivery of our clients commissions;
Carry out Business Development and Marketing activities to support the company's growth;
Support in preparation of tenders;
Support in developing the brand awareness of Identity Consult through social media and networking;
Carry out mentoring of junior / graduate staff within our clients North West / East Office / York Office.


Experience and Knowledge
Minimum of 3 years for a construction related organisation
A proven track record of managing own successful projects in the construction industry
Knowledge of Design & Build, warranties, and agreement for leases
Team management experience
Excellent client facing skills
Experience of the whole project cycle, able to operate in the initial conceptual design stage and at each design in between
Experience managing and able to demonstrate steps to mitigate risk

Excellent organisation skills, to plan the use of people and resources to meet deadlines
Strong interpersonal skills, to motivate and lead your project team
The ability to monitor and control budgets
Proven track record of finishing projects within time and within budget
Good communication and negotiation skills, to manage expectations, have a strong impact and influence key decisions
Able to communicate complex or sensitive issues to a wide range of customers in a clear & concise manner
The ability to use your initiative to ensure that tasks are completed in an efficient and timely manner, make decisions under pressure, and effectively organise and prioritise own workload
Demonstrate a full understanding of customer needs and expectations
A proven ability to represent the service by developing and maintaining effective liaison and relationships with internal and external representatives and other bodies
Demonstrated firm but fair supportive approach to managing, customer services and relationships, whilst maintaining a professional attitude
Technical knowledge related to the project may also be required.
Good report writing skills.


Qualifications
Degree educated in appropriate field of study
Demonstration of significant commitment towards personal professional development
Must have a driving licence and have access to own car
