    AECOM are currently looking for a Senior Civil Engineer to work on our joint venture Caledonia Water Alliance where we have teamed up with Morrison Water Services to deliver Scottish Water's SR21 Water and Wastewater Infrastructure programme.

    Provide technical expertise to support the Design Lead in all aspects of civil projects from design to implementation, ensuring compliance with Scottish Water\ Water Industry Specifications
    Carry out site visits, non-intrusive surveys and inspection assessment
    Feasibility assessment of engineering infrastructure
    Prepare/ check design approach, calculations, drawings and technical reports with due cognisance to SW Specification & Standards and in accordance with CDM Health & Safety procedures that are reviewed by the Design Lead, to support the Design & Build of Major Project Water civil infrastructure
    Supervise and mentor less experienced or junior engineers
    Liaise with construction delivery team & contribute to providing solutions to challenges that arise during the construction process
    Client & third party engagement/ liaison to obtain relevant technical consents as part of the engineering process
    Comply with CWA Quality Assurance procedures

    You will be key to the Water Major Projects programme for our client, Scottish Water designing large diameter pipelines, pumping stations and strategic resilience projects through our SR21 water infrastructure framework across Scotland.

    You will be part of a diverse team of around 20x Civil Engineers and CAD Technicians, with support from specialist Designers from within the AECOM and CWA communities.

    We promote staff development and progression, and there are many development opportunities within CWA. CWA offers a unique opportunity to deliver the full project cycle, from concept design through to detailed design, and delivery
    The role will be based in Stepps, which is only a 5-minute walk from the train station, and local shops/café's and there's also parking provided too
    BSc or BEng in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
    A background in engineering design ideally related to water company infrastructure and non-infrastructure assets including the civil design and specification
    Water infrastructure.
