Trainee Technical Advisor (Decontamination)

The post:


The Decontamination Team provide highly specialised, expert decontamination advice, guidance and support on a range of decontamination of reusable medical devices.


The post holder will undergo a two year in-house training programme with a view to becoming a Technical Advisor (Decontamination) [TA(D)] within Decontamination Services.

Training and Education programme includes undertaking courses, work placement at decontamination facilities, on job training supported by mentors etc.


Good communication skills (oral and written) with ability to deal with staff at all levels, coupled with a good methodical approach to working with data and information.

The post holder will have good presentation skills.

Good organisational skills and ability to work to deadlines is essential. The post holder must have computer skills and be able to use Microsoft Office. The post holder will be expected to use internet search tools.

You will have a formal degree qualification in microbiology or engineering.


Location and working pattern:

Glasgow
37.5 hours per week Mon - Fri
