JOB SUMMARY
The BID Marketing & Events Co-ordinator (MCE) will work to develop and enhance the tools, structure and implementation of engagement works to fulfil the business plan requirements for the Business
Improvement Districts (BIDs) at Globe Business Park (GBP), Marlow and Cressex Business Park (CBP), High
Wycombe.

Working to the BID Board requirements ensuring the highest quality of project delivery and partnership relationship management for the BID.

This will involve support in the development, planning, monitoring, and delivery of communications, events and associated activities.


The MCE Co-ordinator will provide support to the BID Manager, delivery staff and contractors to ensure that services and projects are delivered efficiently and to a high standard.


  • Working with the BID Manager, Board of Directors, wider business group, key stakeholders, agencies and service providers, to share the strategic vision of the BID through the agreed business plan.
  • Providing daytoday management of the BID , comms and events schedule.
  • Act as a champion for the BID and the BID members

MAIN DUTIES

Strategic programme and partnership development

  • Support the development of digital marketing strategies that with promote GBP & CBP.
  • Promote a sense of community by regularly updating the website, using Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and other social media platforms as required.
  • Assist in the organisation of meetings including bookings/invites, reporting, presenting and minutes.
  • Research news topics and engage with businesses, employees and stakeholders for associated contributions.
  • Conduct 'customer care visits' with minimum 1 engagement per business each year. Ensure effective communications to ensure that BID levy payers understand and identify with the BID's aims and objectives.
  • Organise and facilitate events across both sites including promotional comms and follow up feedback/analysis. Events will be organised throughout the year and will include outdoor working.
  • Work with the BID Manager to ensure KPIs and deadlines are met in line with the project programme and business plan.
  • Develop excellent relationships with key stakeholders, statutory agencies, third party service providers, interest groups and partners, and represent the interests of the BID and levy payers in key strategic and operational forums.
  • Provide data and case studies to demonstrate to BID levy payers the value that the BID has delivered for them as businesses.
  • Provide daytoday assistance in the operation of the BID, undertaking the following key activities: o Leaflets design/write copy for the relevant projects/events. In collaboration with the BID


Manager write the script for leaflets, posters and information documents, source photos or illustrations and liaise with designer/printers regarding timely production.

o Newsletters - write the script with input from the BID Manager, ensuring consistency of marketing message.

o Digital - ensure all publications are also produced digitally and appear in appropriate places and formats on the website and across social media.

o Monitor digital content - ensure the message across all digital platforms is consistent and timely. Produce a plan for individual campaigns that will fit the overall message. o Marketing Materials - source and produce general marketing materials. o Admin support - as required.

o Develop and implement the projects set out in Business Plan in line with the requirements of the BID Board.

o Update continuously the BID Business Plan in the light of new developments and opportunities, developing and delivering additional new projects as appropriate.

o Ensure regular communication with BID levy payers to keep them informed about BID projects and other BID developments. o Ensure effective delivery of the communications campaigns via website, social media, app and other appropriate platforms. o Organise and oversee BID events and promotions, where appropriate in partnership with other public and private sector organisations. o Monitor BID outputs and report key performance indicators to the BID Board quarterly.

  • Assist with BID renewal ballot processes, including the consultation process with BID business that will enable the development of new and innovative ideas that form the basis of the BIDs next business plan.
  • Plan the ballot campaign and assist the BID Manager in development of the BID proposal, consultation, business engagement and the balloting process, working with any relevant parties as appropriate.
  • Undertake any other duties commensurate with this role as directed by the Chair of the BID and/or
