Crowden Outdoor Education Centre, located in the Peak District National Park near Glossop, offers high quality outdoor learning experiences to schools, colleges, community and other groups.

Located in the Dark Peak area the centre has direct access to the Pennine Way, local streams, reservoirs, and disused quarries, providing multiple opportunities for adventure.

Due to increased levels of business we need additional staff and are looking for experienced multi discipline outdoor leaders to become part of our instructional team.

Most of our programmes are delivered in the natural landscape, and therefore it is essential that you are comfortable working remotely in the natural environment.

Activity programmes are usually between 3 and five days with occasional evenings and weekends

Successful applicants will deliver and support the development of programmes of outdoor education, for young people, families and adults with a range of backgrounds and needs.

Applicants must hold as a minimum of two of the following awards or higher levels within the schemes:
Hill and Moorland Leader

Rock Climbing Instructor

British Canoeing (UKCC) Level 1 Coach / British Canoeing Paddle sport instructor

L1 Local Cave Leader (Peak District)
